Our Charitable Mission
Our charity mission involves our commitment to enrich the lives of those in the local communities around the two diamond mines in Kimberley South Africa.
The two historic diamond mines Frank Smith and Loxton Dal have impacted generations both socially and economically; it is therefore our vision to support the local development in education, employment opportunities and empowerment.
Our principle surrounds our values to promote equality, inclusion and diversity in all social contexts.
Together we create a sustainable regional community around our Kimberley diamond mines through economic empowerment and charitable initiatives underpinned by our industry-leading diamond production and designer collections
Our two diamond mines, Frank Smith and Loxton Dal, are based around a diamond-rich area in Kimberley, South Africa. The diamond mining production has long supported the local community which we feel passionate about giving back to. In particular, SSC Diamond focuses on the empowerment of disadvantaged segments of the local Kimberley community.
Through our unique partnerships, a fixed percentage of our diamond sale proceeds to our charitable projects around the Kimberley region to equip individuals to build a better livelihood that relieves local poverty, reduce inequalities between social segments, and to improve social sustainability in their local community.

The Re Tlameleng School Film Project
Re Tlameleng School, Kimberley, South Africa
SSC Mandarin Diamond Mining has formed a unique partnership with Re Tlameleng School, a South African government school based in the township of Galeshewe in Kimberley, Northern Cape. The school is specialised in visual impairment and currently has 148 learners and 20 teachers.
The proposed film project will be conducted in collaboration with BonRo Studios and it will be a social and humanity project that will help equip physically disabled students with key skills in artistic expression and film making.
The project entails a structured programme to equip students with practical skills in script writing, video editing and film production. Through this programme the students will be encouraged to stretch their creativity and expand their horizons in artistic expression and production. The acquired skills will be transformative in promoting personal, social and economic growth within the local community.
